DAY 20
10-9-09
EXODUS 8-9-10
Good Morning!
Pharaoh had to learn the hard way. His heart was so hard that he refused to submit to God even at the cost of his kingdom and people. Did you notice how Pharaoh would “relent” after experiencing the plagues and then when God gave relief his heart hardened again?
How often do we suffer, need help, or find ourselves in dire circumstances and then pray for God to intervene? He lovingly helps us and then we go right on living as if nothing happened. On one hand, we must remember that doesn’t help based on our ability to “be good.” He helps us based on his love and grace. If God only gives help when I change, he’d never give me help.
On the other hand, God’s love, help, and grace is supposed to lead us to change our behavior. It should cause us to appreciate him by living the righteous life he demands. How childish we can be when we ask God for help and then go on living like nothing ever happened. That is the essence of a hard, unappreciative heart.
Pray for God’s help. Let his loving kindness and answered prayers change you.

Do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance? Romans 2:4
