DAY 33
10-22-09
LEVITICUS 4-5-6
Good Morning!
This is an important three chapters to read if you sin. Obviously we do sin, so the principles do apply to us. I think it is important to know that God knows the difference between intentional and unintentional sin. But if you notice, it makes no difference. Sin is sin. It must be dealt with. It must be confessed. It must be forgiven.
Do you think we often see unintentional sin as less important and less “sinful”? We are quick to get on our knees when we sin and know it. Are we less concerned when we find out we sinned unintentionally? Sin is sin; and God provides the way to redemption.
1. Unintentional must be dealt with.
Lev. 4:2 “This is how you are to deal with those who sin unintentionally by doing anything that violates one of the Lord's commands”
2. If you violate one of the Lord’s commands without realizing it, you are guilty.
Lev. 4:13-14 "If the entire Israelite community sins by violating one of the Lord's commands, but the people don't realize it, they are still guilty. When they become aware of their sin…”
3. God always provides a way to be forgiven and restored to your relationship with him.
Lev. 4:35 “Through this process, the priest will purify the people from their sin, making them right with the Lord, and they will be forgiven.”
4. When you sin and realize it, don’t deny it, admit it.
Lev. 5:2 “When you realize what you have done, you must admit your defilement and your guilt.”
Be quick to admit your sins; quick to repent; and God will be quick to forgive.

“…your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended… Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.” (2 Cor. 7:9-10)
