Before I Get Old

GENESIS 46-47-48


Good Morning!

Before I get old, I want to recognize that my life is blessed. I have the best wife, the most wonderful children, a loving family, and the best friends I’ve ever had. I am a child of God Most High. I am a sinner saved by his one and only Son, Jesus. I am filled with God’s Holy Spirit. My ministry, church family, and community are a blessing. I am healthy, wealthy, and overwhelmed by God’s provision in my life. I can’t imagine that my life could get any better – but I know it will. I am confident that if I lost all things I would still be blessed. I know I am going to heaven.

Jacob was extremely blessed by God and I appreciate the way he recognized how good God had been to him. "May the God before whom my grandfather Abraham and my father, Isaac, walked — the God who has been my shepherd all my life, to this very day, the Angel who has redeemed me from all harm…” (Gen 48:15-16)

What about you? What has God done for you? Don’t wait until your life is in its last days to recognize how good it is to be a child of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
