EXODUS 29-30-31
Good Morning!
How special it was to serve God in his presence. Aaron and his sons were blessed indeed. It is amazing to see the great God-given detail of the holy objects of worship; and the solemn ceremony of worship and atonement. More evidence that worshipping the Holy God is not to be ordinary and casual. That is not to say that the beauty is in formality; but worship and service is supposed to be big deal. It is special. It is holy.
As much as I admire the priests and the honor they enjoy in service, Christians are more blessed than they would ever understand. Unlike them, all Christians are priests before God. Not just one special family. We approach God anytime. We are his temple. We are always atoned for. There is no more blood and incense. The holiness of God is not behind a curtain any longer.
Thank God for the blessing of being a holy priest; and the honor of serving him.
