EXODUS 17-18-19
Good Morning!
In the build up to Israel finally meeting God and formally creating a national relationship with God on the mountain, there is an issue that will continue and I just don’t get it. God’s great holiness, love, compassion, and extreme power have all been plainly displayed to Israel. They went from slave to free; and from a loose band of families to a nation. They have a real leader. What else do they want!? All the whining, complaining, issues, and problems, looking back, and second guessing...ENOUGH!
After all the evidence of God’s care, even after they whine and God gives them water, they have the nerve to say, “Is the Lord among us or not?” (17:7) My personal conviction about my morning reading is simple…I will make it a point to notice what God does for me. I will not complain since I have nothing to complain about. I will ignore the whining I hear everyday. I will praise God because God is always good to me.
