Good Morning!

Right from the start God encourages Joshua to be a real leader; a strong leader. Moses led through trying times and even in some battles. Joshua, however, will be in constant battle.

The encouragement God gave to Joshua is perfect for any spiritual leader in the church or in the home. From Joshua 1:6-9…
1. Be strong and courageous.

2. Be careful to obey all the law…do not turn from it to the right or to the left.


3. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night.


4. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

I can’t tell you how many times fear of leadership has overwhelmed me - as a preacher and as a husband and father. Leadership is hard; it is challenging. God is the only way we will be truly successful in our leadership. Leaders need God’s presence and his word every day; in every situation.

Be strong and courageous!
