NUMBERS 19-20


Good Morning!

How much does a person need to see; read; learn; or understand regarding the fact that God blesses us when we obey his word? God’s instructions on how Moses was to provide water were clear. “Speak to the Rock.” So Moses struck the rock with his staff twice.

The water came out of the rock, so what’s the big deal? The people and their animals were taken care of by God, so what’s the harm. For their sin, Moses and Aaron will not be able to go into the land of promise. It is a big deal to God. He said, “The two of you rebelled against my instructions concerning the water at Meribah.” (Num 20:24-25) Ignoring God’s instruction is rebellion.

It seems so simple. But mankind still doesn’t get the connection. Live by God’s word and you will be blessed. Obey God and you will be blessed. Don’t change it; ignore it; deny it; or rebel against it. Humble yourself before God and his word. He will bless you.

God, please forgive me when I disregard your word.
