Do Not Remember Our Sins Forever

DAY 212
5-1-10
ISAIAH 64-66

Good Morning!

Isaiah concludes his letter to Israel. All is not lost. There is hope for sinful Israel. With God, there is always hope! I too need the hope of God because of the realities of this life. What are the realities of living in this world?

My good deeds will not overcome or take away the dirtiness of my sins. In the eyes of God all my goodness are like rags. I am a sinner.

Isa 64:6 All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags.

What can I do about it? Well, since God makes all things; and is in control of everything; I appeal to him to make me a better man; a clean man.

Isa 64:8-9 Yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand. 9 Do not be angry beyond measure, O Lord; do not remember our sins forever.

And one day, this sinful world will not have a hold on me ever again. Yet, right now in Christ, I have the best life there is because God and his son make everything new! I am blessed. I have a future. My children and future grandchildren will be blessed as well. Then it when it’s over, we’ll all be blessed in heaven.

Isa 66:22 "As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me," declares the Lord, "so will your name and descendants endure.

Yes indeed! God is good.

Barry
