DAY 18
10-7-09
EXODUS 2-3-4
Good Morning!
God keeps the promise he made to Abram - his descendants went into slavery and God rescued them after four hundred years (Gen.15:13-16). Can’t you see God working his plan on every page? When things seem desperate, God leads and works his people through the challenge.
The people are not the only one’s challenged. Moses is challenged and God is challenged too. In this case God’s power and plan are worked through baby Moses being found by Pharaoh’s daughter; being nursed by his own mother; and being raised in Pharaoh’s house. Who better than Moses to lead the people to the Promised Land?
The challenge God faces is Moses’ reticence. He’s afraid to go. He pleads with God to choose someone else. Every excuse Moses makes, God has the answer and the solution. God has the power to help us overcome fear and limitations. Finally God says “You’re going!”
My prayer is that I will accept the challenges that God assigns to me. I can’t promise I’ll never be afraid, or that I’ll not make excuses. However, I’ll try to keep the promise that I’ll accept God’s help when he says “Go!”
