Stubborn

DAY 28
10-17-09
EXODUS 32-33-34

Good Morning!

Are you stubborn? Look at it this way…either you are and you admit it; or, you are and you won’t admit it. We all are stubborn in one way or another. Here’s the deal – stubbornness is a sin. It is pride. Now it’s one thing to be full of confidence; and quite another thing to be full of pride.

God’s people are testing him. They are testing the one who wiped out Egypt. How stupid can they be? When I admit that I still stubbornly cling to sin; desire my way instead of God’s way; or fail to truly repent; I am testing the patience of God.

There is Good News. Even though God’s justice is brought down, he also shows his mercy and patience to the one’s he loves. Many guilty people paid the price for stubborn pride and sin; but God listened to Moses’ plea to spare the nation.

Let go of your pride. Let God help you overcome your stubborn nature. Be satisfied with God’s word; his will; and his ways.

Barry

He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)
